Songs of Belief

The Love Goes On

the love goes on...
when I am gone
on a river that runs through tomorrow
that distant shore
a dream no more
where the morning light comforts all sorrow

the love goes on...
in the quiet dawn
like the summer rain follows the thunder
(if you)think of me
please let it be
when the new moon is still full of wonder

the love goes on...
a silver swan
that spreads its wings in full devotion
and rises high
where souls still fly
‘n carries them over the ocean
so silently over the ocean...

Does Heaven Move When The Wind Blows

Does heaven move when the wind blows?
Does eternity, shift with the breeze?
leading my way back home to You...

Do these prayers pierce the horizon?
or do they disappear, like smoke in a mirror?
(as I’m) steering my way back home to You...

ah but this love inside me
is the star that guides me
the dawn it breaks
I glimpse Your Face...

Does heaven move when the wind blows?...
do the silent seas, roll where they please?
as I’m making my way back home to You...
home to You...
home to You...
In The Time That Still Remains

IN THE TIME THAT STILL REMAINS
(as the) years roll down upon us
I made myself a promise
rather than resign
I’d fill up this heart & I’d let it shine...
IN THE TIME THAT STILL REMAINS

IN THE TIME THAT STILL REMAINS
I won’t waste another minute
waiting to begin it
learning to forgive
let go of the past & begin to live...
IN THE TIME THAT STILL REMAINS

The years of rain & thunder
How did I make it through?
The waves that pulled me under
till I found my way to you...

In the harvest of this heart
I’ll no longer take for granted
the fields that I have planted
and the seeds that I now sow
all that is left is to help them grow...
IN THE TIME THAT STILL REMAINS

The years of rain & thunder
How did I make it through?
The waves that pulled me under
till I found my way to you...to you...

IN THE TIME THAT STILL REMAINS
I’m gonna make to the river
‘n ask the Great Forgiver
to touch me with His grace...
‘n pray that one day I will see His face...
IN THE TIME THAT STILL REMAINS
Shines In The Darkness

There’s a light out there...somewhere
but you must walk through the valley to see...
it Shines in the Darkness
a candle...
to lead you home
Shines in the Darkness
to find you...

There’s a moon that’s lost in the city
but if you climb to the rooftops you’ll see...
it Shines in the Darkness
so willing
to shed its light
Shines in the Darkness
to find you...

Down a winding road
Each day unfolds before you
Through the twists and turns
One day you learn...
Somehow we must believe...

There’s a love out there...somewhere
you must open your eyes so you’ll see...
it Shines in the Darkness
a candle...
to lead you home
Shines in the Darkness
to find you...

Let it shine
Let it shine
Let it shine
Let it shine...
Some Rivers

Some rivers can’t be crossed
some dreams are finally lost
some loves, a coin that’s tossed
that disappears from view

Some mountains, far too high
some tears, no longer cry
some songs, become a sigh
to sing in shades of blue...

STANDING ON THE SHORELINE ON THE OTHER SIDE
LOOKING FOR A LIGHT ACROSS THIS GREAT DIVIDE

some answers can’t be found
some words, don’t leave a sound
sometimes, the sun sinks down
and there’s nothing you can do...

(solo)
LOOKING FOR A LIGHT ACROSS THIS GREAT DIVIDE

some hearts, seem the same
endure the wind and rain
wear down, grain by grain
‘till the wind just passes through...
‘till the wind just passes through...

The Heart of St. Teresa

This side of morning, this side of night
a halo forming, circle of light
rising like the moon above, always burning bright
is THE HEART OF ST. TERESA

She walked ahead of us, but never alone
surrounded by a grace, her way was shown
yes it was her love that made His presence known
through THE HEART OF ST. TERESA

won’t you listen to the cathedral bells
they’re ringing out a story to tell
and if you hear them, you would do well
just to pause, light a candle just because...

They came to honor her, now that she’s gone
every nation sent their rich and their strong
but it’s the weak, the poor who always will belong
in THE HEART OF ST. TERESA

yes it’s the weak, the poor who always will belong
in THE HEART OF ST. TERESA

When I Fell Into His Arms

Last night I had me a dream
what a glorious dream it was
all of my sorrow washed away
I closed my eyes and I drifted
down the river of emerald green
there on the banks, the children played
suddenly the wind changed
suddenly I felt so strange
I lost my balance and I stumbled blind
When I fell into His arms...

I found myself in a forest
the wind it smelled of pine
a bed of needles beneath my feet
but there was nowhere to turn to
on this dark and moonless nighWt
I was alone and incomplete
suddenly it was so clear
suddenly I had no fear
I lost my balance and I stumbled blind
When I fell into His arms...

His arms were warm to the freezing
drink to the dry
a net to the falling
sight to the eye

and when I woke my heart was pounding
the night was in retreat
I walked to the window and gazed outside
the city down there was waking
like a lover it held out its hand
and just for that moment, I was so alive
now I ain’t saying that I’ve been saved
glory road has been paved
all I know is what I felt inside
When I fell into His arms...
